Safety concerns led to the installation of fences, creating a sense of confinement that earned it the nickname “Prison Park.” Determined to reclaim this space for the community, The Trust for Public Land partnered with the City of San Francisco and WRNS Studio to embark on a transformative redesign and reconstruction project.
